Your Data Rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have rights over your personal data. This page explains what those rights are and how to exercise them.
Your Rights
Right of Access
You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. This includes your account information, match history, and any data associated with your profile.
Right to Rectification
If any of your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can request that we correct or update it.
Right to Erasure
Also known as the "right to be forgotten", you can request that we delete your personal data. Please note:
- Historical match results may be retained in anonymised form for statistical purposes
- We may retain some data where required by law or legitimate interests
- Deletion of your account is permanent and cannot be undone
Right to Restriction
You can request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances, such as while we verify the accuracy of your data or consider an objection you have raised.
Right to Data Portability
You can request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (such as JSON or CSV) to transfer to another service.
Right to Object
You can object to the processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis, including the publication of match statistics.

What Happens Next
When you make a data rights request:
- Verification: We may need to verify your identity to protect your data from unauthorised access.
- Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge your request within 5 working days.
- Response: We will respond to your request within one month. If your request is complex, we may extend this by up to two additional months, but we will inform you if this is necessary.
- No fee: In most cases, we will not charge a fee. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
Data We Hold
When you use RACKETREF, we may hold the following types of data about you:
- Account details (name, email, PSA ID)
- Organisation memberships and roles
- Match history and scores (as player, referee, or tournament admin)
- Tournament participation records
- Technical data (login times, device info)
